Application open for IYTT's fifth youth conference

The conference brings together young adults (18-24 years) from all over Europe. During four days, they will be inspired by prominent people in academia and business, discuss societal challenges and finally draw up concrete proposals for how democracy can be strengthened and renewed. What makes the International Youth Think Tank special as a youth organization is that the young people's own ideas are absolutely central.

- There are a lot of initiatives that are based on teaching young people about democracy and getting them involved in the issues that we adults think are important. We want to reverse the problem and instead investigate what adult decision-makers and experts can learn from the young people, says Urban Strandberg, IYTT's founder and director.

Having said that, the young people at the conference - which this year will be held in Barcelona, ​​Europe's first capital of democracy - will have more opportunities to be inspired by prominent social leaders and researchers. The conference ends with a presentation where the young people launch the ideas that the think tank will then further develop during the year. Those who participate in the conference can afterwards title themselves "Youth Fellows" and continue to be given the opportunity to represent the think tank and bring out their ideas in a variety of contexts.
